A ‘Thruppeny Bit’ found in opera glass holder.

A 1960 Threepence piece was recently discovered in one of our opera glass holders at the New Wimbledon Theatre. When the coin was minted Harold Macmillan was Prime Minister and Eddie Cochran was in the charts with ‘Three Steps to Heaven’ or should that be ‘Three Pence to Heaven’….oops!

London Fashion Week and London Opera Glasses

The second day at London Fashion Week ended with Eudon Choi’s debut Autumn/Winter collection Terra Nova. Choi’s signature style “Masculine yet feminine” works collaboratively with inspirations from Polar expedition (led by Captain Scott and his team), Ernest Shackleton and Veruschka von Lehndorff.

As the ‘fashion press’ entered the main door the first thing in sight was an Arctic exploratory moving image haunting white wooden chairs. A clever use of space and props (London Opera Glasses) yield to the designer’s method of presentation.

A triumph for a silent film and a triumph for London Opera Glasses at the 2012 British Academy Awards at The Royal Opera House.

Congratulations to the silent film The Artist which picked up seven awards including Best Film, Best Director and leading actor. The Royal Opera House in Covent Garden was packed, but the best view in the house to be had was at the Taittinger Champagne table who supplied chrome London Opera Glasses to it’s guests and were particularly enjoyed by Vitalie Taittinger who was able to see all of the action close up.

The clarity is…perfect!

I am writing to let you know how impressed I am with your opera glasses. I recently saw a performance at the Empire Theatre in Liverpool and the clarity was perfect. Thank you so much for sending me a pair for free, it was very generous of you.

Theatre and Rugby?

Many thanks for supply my husband with a pair of your excellent opera glasses. I realise this was an unusual request, but they have given my husband a new lease of life both indoors and outdoors. At the theatre he can now see the performance as well as hear it. And last Saturday at the rugby instead of asking me the scores he could see it for himself, absolutely brilliant.
Thanks again.

We Will Rock You….

I went to see We Will Rock You at the Edinburgh Playhouse and was delighted by the excellent quality of the opera glasses. What an unbelievable difference they made. I could see John Deacon so closely, the vision was perfect. Made the ticket price worth it.
